Welcome to The Kings Head Gosfield

The next time you are thinking of taking a drive out into the beautiful countryside of Essex, head towards Gosfield and take time to stop and eat or drink at the recently restored and rejuvenated Kings Head.

Licencees Alastair and Katie Bols, having won the Evening Standard paper "London Pub of the Year" at their previous venture, have seen their reputation grow and grow since re-opening in June 2004, and having also recently gained “Star” rated status within the CAMRA “Good Pub Food” guide and also the CAMRA “Real Ale Guide”

This wonderful Tudor public house has been an integral part of the village since the reign of Henry VIII and has lost none of its charm and ambience. Katie and Alastair have worked hard to bring out the very best of the pubs distinguished features, like the huge open inglenook fireplaces, solid oak beams and floors, with soft leather furnishings.

The newly refurnished dining area benefits from the natural light and is airy and comfortable. After dining you can choose to have a drink in either of the spacious bars or wander out onto the attractive patio with large parasols to enjoy the summer months.
